Maple plum crumble

  1. PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 200˚C/180˚C fan/Gas 6
  2. Wash the plums, cut them in half and remove the stones.
  3. Peel and quarter the pears and remove the core.
  4. Place the halved plums, skin side down, and the pears in the bottom of a large ovenproof dish. Drizzle over half the maple syrup. Roast for 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cut the butter into pieces and place it in a bowl with the flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon. Rub together between your fingers to make coarse crumbs.
  6. SPRINKLE Remove the fruit from the oven. Sprinkle the crumble over the plums and pears. Drizzle with the remaining maple syrup.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes until the crumble is golden on top.
