Wash, deseed and finely chop the chilli. Peel and bash the garlic clove. Trim the broccoli stalks and rinse under running water.
Bring a pan of water to the boil. Put the broccoli in a steamer basket, set over the boiling water and steam for 3-5 minutes.
Warm the olive oil in a frying pan and add the garlic and chilli. Add the broccoli to the pan, drizzle the soy sauce over and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
