  • The Aztecs believed it to be ‘the food of the gods’ and our hot chocolate is a real treat.

  1. Pour the milk and cream into a small pan. Split the vanilla pod lengthways, scrape out the tiny seeds and add both to the milk and cream.
  2. Bring the milk gently to the boil, then remove from the heat and cover the pan with kitchen foil. Leave to infuse for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, grate the chocolate.
  4. Remove the vanilla pod and warm the milk up again gently without bringing to the boil. Remove from the heat.
  5. DISSOLVE Add the grated chocolate and stir to dissolve. Pour into cups and enjoy!
