Get your day off to a healthy start with this deliciously fruity and filling breakfast.   You can substitute the apple with any other seasonal fruit of your choice. Or chop some dried fruit, such as apricots, figs or sultanas, into your porridge to boost your iron intake.

  1. Wash and grate the apple.
  2. Put the grated apple, oats and milk in a pan and cook over a very low heat, stirring continuously, until the porridge has thickened to your liking.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the cinnamon.
  4. Transfer to a bowl drizzle with the honey and enjoy.
